First novelist Toutonghi builds a complicated and technology-heavy realm with ethical components relevant in today’s society. However, most of the story line is concerned with character and setting development with less focus on the more engaging philosophical dilemmas with which Chance and Leap (and all of humanity) have to grapple. Enthusiasts of futuristic technology and sf writers such as Philip K. Dick will find this ambitious work thought provoking.
