New York, September 4, 2013: At Soho Press, Juliet Grames has been promoted to Associate Publisher. Grames joined Soho Press in 2010 as Editor and was promoted to Senior Editor in 2011, responsible for the Soho Crime imprint of international crime fiction. Grames’s first Soho acquisition was Lene Kaaberbøl & Agnete Friis’s The Boy in the Suitcase, which would be Soho Crime’s first New York Times bestseller, having made three separate appearances on the list to date (in November 2011, August 2012, and August 2013 respectively). Other authors Grames has brought into Soho include Edgar and Macavity nominee Timothy Hallinan, LA Times Book Prize nominee Fuminori Nakamura, Philippine National Book Award winner F.H. Batacan, and three-time Asian American Literary Award winner Ed Lin, among others.
